Victoria Principal, who played Pamela Barnes Ewing in “Dallas,” is 72 years old

The show became one of the most popular primetime soap operas in television history due to actress Victoria Principal’s famed depiction of Pamela Barnes Ewing in Dallas.

Victoria was born in Japan on January 3, 1950. Her father was a US Air Force Sergeant stationed in Fukuoka, and she spent her first few months there. Victoria attended 17 different schools during her formative years due to her family’s numerous movements.

She had her first television commercial appearance at age five, with no idea that acting would become her vocation.

There are allegations that her upbringing was not a joyful one. This was due to her strained connection with her mother. “I wish I had known my childhood,” the actress remarked in a 2012 interview with Huffington Post. She said, “I felt incredibly blessed,” at one point. My parents raised me in a way that I was never made aware of my lack of equality.

When it came time to choose a job, Victoria decided to become a doctor, and she was well on her way to accomplishing her objective.
Victoria, on the other hand, was gravely injured in a vehicle accident just before the end of her first year in college. She needed time off to heal, which meant she missed a lot of college classes and had to start over. She wasn’t in the mood at the time.

One of her earliest cinematic roles was as Roy Bean’s mistress in Paul Newman’s The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean.

As she received more offers, Victoria became a talent agent after realising that acting was time-consuming and complex.
However, she was granted the role of Pamela Barnes Ewing around two years later.

“I had quit acting to work as an agent and was heading to law school when a buddy dropped off a Dallas script, so I read it,” she recalled. I became aware of a difference in my life once I finished. I called [casting] and told them I was sending someone in.

Who, she wondered. Simply enter my name, I asked. It will be a pleasant surprise. And I arrived by myself, which was unexpected! “I submitted my application!”
Victoria was elevated on a pedestal due to the series’ success. Dallas was 28 years old when she made her debut.

She was nominated for a two Soap Opera Digest Awards, among other honours.

Victoria later quit the show in 1987. There were various reasons why she resigned. “It was difficult to keep Pam Ewing and Victoria Principal apart. She told the New York Times in 1987 that continuing with the programme would “certainly secure my fate in the profession.”

Victoria married twice during her lifetime. Her first and second marriages also ended in divorce. Even though she has no children, she is very close to her second husband’s son and daughter from a previous marriage.
When she left Dallas, she established Principal Secret, a skincare company that grew into a $1.5 billion-a-year empire. According to sources, the actress’s net worth is $350 million.

She chose to stand down as CEO of the company after many years to focus on her foundation, The Victoria Principal Foundation for Thoughtful Existence. “I’m still completely committed to growing my skincare brand, Principal Secret. We will shortly be celebrating our 27th year in operation. “And I’ll never forget how Dallas helped me realise so many of my dreams,” she added in a 2018 interview with TV Insider.
Despite being 72 years old, the actress exudes young beauty and appeal. She is quite active on social media, uploading images of herself and the animals she supports, as well as old ones from when she was filming the show that forever changed her life.
